Nope,fir treesmy creek bed is cedar trees/bushes,ticks get active as they heat up on sunny days,up north in pine tree stands ticks are active all winter moose are infected terrible in some area's as they bed down under pine tree stands.
Kinda,69 degrees yesterday, trees budding,gaggles of robins and sandhills,pup shared his ticks with me,little some beech,and today cold spitting rain and snow....mother nature is a tease.
Glad the blast is over now the cold sets in,thankfully another thaw starts Wednesday hopefully for good. After freezing my ass off in January the heated apparel sits idle. Hopefully next year if im still above ground.
Meadowlarks,few years ago pheasant hunting in Nebraska, local warden checking a group of Asian hunters, apparently someone reported them shooting out the Toyota car windows.... warden reported hunters (cough cough) had a dozen quail so they thought turned out a dozen Meadowlarks....lol.
