    Good morning! I’m starting to think/plan for a Lake Winnipeg trip. My oldest has a x-country meet on Saturday, so fishing this weekend is a maybe/hopefully. Looking forward to another day of work, followed by family.

    Fishing the hook. We found fish in the early morning, in 6-10 fow, pulling cranks. Nice fish, in the 18-19" range. After that, we went out to Shell Island and ripped jigging raps for awhile, and had success fishing the river side. Water temps are starting to drop. Looking forward to the fall bite.

    Jigging Raps I will pay for. I have had very little luck with the imitation stuff. Even the Shiver Minnow, which has a good reputation, I struggle to find success with. I have had some good days with the Hyper Rattle, though, but man are those spendy. I keep wanting to try the "Scheels"...

    Not sure where the best place to buy is, but stick to the Terrova. I have an Ulterra and it has broken down twice under warranty, and now that it is out of warranty it scares the begeezus out of me.
