NOT entirely true. I give a shit about about these times..
Hunt Time
Fish Time
Eat Time
Drink Time
Birds and Bees Time
and my ALL TIME FAVORITE TIME..........................................the "Do whatever the F' I want to do" Time
Supporting the NRA is NOT a bad thing. Do they have some issues....Yep, but as a whole, the NRA rank in file are pretty solid folks IMO. However, I will say this. If in your own mind, you believe you need someone else to protect your rights......you've already lost them.
I don't know if you qualify as a kid. You might need to come over, drink a few beers, and talk it over before we can come to any reasonable conclusions. (Grin)
No takers yet, but a few rumors of youngsters that might use the spot. Which could be good or bad. Good because every youngster has a place to go or bad because there are no youngsters that want/need a place to hunt. I hope it's the former.
You guys are going to make me blush already. It's not a big deal. As a grey beard, I'm supposed to look out for the youngsters. Just as my Dad, Uncles, Grandfathers, and other grey beards looked out for me when I was young. Some of them are gone now, so it's just my turn. It's the way life...
Nobody in the family will be rifle hunting this year, so if there is someone that's looking for some above average deer hunting land in 2G for a youngster to take their buck, give me a shout. There are lots of bucks on the place with a fair number of 120+ deer on it and one or two 140's if your...
When you start jumping jet ski's, then you are having a midlife crisis. Until then, what you have is an excuse to drink beer and hold your stick. (Grin)
And then......parents wonder why their children don't want them around....and then....30 somethings wonder why they aren't invited to the "parties" anymore....and then....old folks don't understand the young folks and vice versa. Youth is for doing dumb, yet exhilarating things BEFORE you grow...
Been helping a neighbor with harvest and I watched what looked like a person in a carpool park their minivan on an approach, get into the other car and leave. About an hour later, that minivan was blocking 3 combines, a grain cart, and 2 semi's from entering the field. The minivan ended up...
A buddy has a light on a pivot with an extension cord hanging down as the handle. Slick deal. He wishes he would have put at least 4 of them on each wall so he'd have light AND power at almost every point in the building without running cords or work lights laying everywhere.
Gotcha! That is a tough call to make on a slough though. At least for me I seem to bust though and get wet feet more times than I care to remember. Only had to get the dog one time, but that was enough. Scared the crap outta me when I heard him go splash, flounder around in the cat tails...
How do you figure? Pheasants don't like wet feet, so they stay out of standing water and on dry land. When you get that first skiff of ice, the little bastages can run every cat tail patch and flooded cover available instead of just the dry land. Until the ice gets thick enough so you can...
Recurves are NOT a beginners bow IMO. They use instinctive shooting techniques which is difficult for novice shooters to master and there is way more failure when using a recurve than when using a compound bow. If it was I trying to take up archery or getting a newbie into archery, a recurve...
Did a combination of many of the suggested remedies last night. Except the castor oil and enema. Hot coffee with honey, a double shot of Niquil, some airborne, extra blankets, and sitting upright in the bed. Pretty good this morning except for some stuffy nose crap, but I can power through...
