Lost items at Van Hook Cleaning station

Forgot a net and electric fillet knife at the Van Hook cleaning station Friday evening. If you or someone you know found it I would appreciate it back. Had a little hope there was still some decent people in this world who would of just turned it in at the store.

    Leadcore

Ask 10 different people and you'll get 10 different answers. Personally I don't do a ton of it but I run 2 set ups with a little mono backing and I measured off like 10' is all and then tied that to my leadcore so it had a good bite to the reel. I then on the business end have a super small...

    Brisket - North Dakota Style

Looking at doing a briskit myself and have never done one before. Curious if you cut a majority of your fat off your piece of meat? About how long does it take to cook one? I've been you tubing a lot on briskits and seeing some cutting a majority of the fat off and others leaving it and cutting...

    Redneck Bale Blind

I doubt the erosion control material will hold up to the folding and unfolding multiple times over and over personally. Also i wouldn't go 70MPH down the interstate with it either. It may hold together but your probably going to loose some straw. My thought was to put it on close to where its...

    Redneck Bale Blind

Sorry don't have pics but if I do another one I'll take some and put them up. Basically its a spin off of the old plywood ice houses. Two pieces of plywood on the ends. 2x2's between them covered with a heavy duty tarp and an erosion control blanket. Like I said if I make another I'll take more...

How light is too light for a rifle?

I have the exact same as you. Love my tikka 22-250 and regret my tikka 300WSM.

How light is too light for a rifle?

I have one in 300 WSM with a limb saver on it and its not pleasant to shoot at all. Got it as an elk gun and its nice and light but finding a handload in it sucked. FYI i couldn't get much to group out of it at all when i first got it. did the dollar bill trick between the barrel and stock, and...

    Cuddieback cameras

Bought a Cuddieback camera. Takes great pics just has way too many false triggers. Like ridiculous. 2600 pics in 3 days ridiculous. Anyone now if there is a way to change the settings on these things. Yes there is nothing in front of it to trigger it. Yes it is strapped to a big enough tree so...

    Success in Montana

those look like TSX's am I correct? If so you had better luck on an elk than my buddy did. I believe his went straight through and never expanded good and he was shooting a 338 win mag and like a 225gr bullet at 75 yards.

    7 mm Rem Mag.

For my browning A-Bolt it was 140gr tsx and 70.5gr of Retumbo. My Browning X-Bolt Long Range Hunter on the other hand has been a fussy one. I got one group that was amazing with 150 ttsx's and 4831 but tried to repeat it and it wasn't even close.

    Lake Winnipeg Update 2017

What were the ridges like? Sloppy or can a guy get around them with a ranger with wheels and chains? Also what access did you use?

    Savage or Tikka?

Fusions did not work for me. Tried the 165's and the 180's tried reloading 165 TTSX with 2 different powders with little success. Tried the Nosler partition 180's with 3 different powders and got one to fly somewhat ok but feel like it should be able to do better with reloading.

    Savage or Tikka?

what did you use for powder? I have tried to get the 165's to fly out of mine and have done nothing but struggle to get it to shoot decent. Then again I haven't found anything to shoot awesome out of it, just ok - - - Updated - - - what did you use for powder? I have tried to get the 165's to...

    Fishing Kayak Input Requested

Used to sell kayaks as a part time gig and one of the things we were told in training was for people using kayaks for the first time was to have them get in them and tip them purposely a few times. That way you know where your tipping point is. With the ones your looking at I'm guessing your...

    Fishing Kayak Input Requested

Actually you would be surprised with the petal drive system. I've been down the sheyeanne and red with mine if it gets shallow I just use my paddle and if it looks like I'll hit bottom I just pull the pedals out. Have yet to get them hung up on a tree yet really just don't be dumb and your fine...

    Fishing Kayak Input Requested

I have a hobbie kayak and wouldn't trade anything for it. Being hands free and able to fight a fish/cast/tie jigs and still maneuver is huge to me. They also come with a spot built in for a transducer for a depth finder so I put just a little Lowrance Elite-4 HDI on it. Troll bottom bouncers all...
