    Aging game meat

Don't worry about aging the Moose for 7 days. The outside will turn dark and dry but once you trim it off it will be very good meat. Don't listen to Butcher Block they don't want to hang your moose unless they process it. Trust me I know. I hung my Moose for 2 days, I would of hung it longer in...

    One tag system

If they went to a one tag system I would quit bow hunting. Last 10 years I ate my rifle tag once, my bow tag 7 times. Even if it is the way you describe. I would only use bow if I didn't fill my rifle. I spent a majority of my work in bow hunting, more time, hanging tree stands, scouting. For a...

Do you process your own deer?

You are right on, most silver skin gets caught in the grinder. I add as much of the deer fat as possible, venison needs juice.

Do you process your own deer?

I believe that has to do with bone rot, it takes a lot to cool down a deer. Especially when we have warm season. It is true butcher shops cut everything with the bone, it's faster. You are ok to bring meat before rifle season, you should get your meat back. But once season starts it gets weighed...

Do you process your own deer?

Let me suggest always do your own. Since working at a certain butcher shop in the mandan area and see what they do to your deer. You would always do your own. It can be a lot of fun with family and friends and you know what you get.
