    Help needed retrieving elk

    I got an elk down this morning off magpie road and during the retrieval had some heart issues. I have a couple buddy’s going to make a trip in tomorrow. If anyone’s up for a beautiful walk please PM me.

    E3/4 Elk?

    Anyone seen any Elk in E3 or E4? I have a bull tag that I have been trying to fill. I also know another hunter that has a cow tag. I have been putting on the miles hard the last month and I have not seen anything. Thanks in advance for your help.

    Spotting Scope Recommendations

    What's everyone using? Looking to stay in the $800-1000 range. Do you prefer angled or straight eyepiece? Mainly going to be used in the badlands stalking. Thoughts?

    Son's 2015 Elk

    We hunted E4 hard the first three day and found this one in E3 on the fourth day. He did an amazing job for only being 16! A memory for years to come!

    binoculars with pack

    Just getting our gear ready for fall. Will be using larger packs for the first time. Have always used binoculars on a harness....do you recommend hooking them to the pack instead? Am worried about having the harness under the pack straps and it getting uncomfortable. Thoughts?

    Going to be spending tons of time in the badlands this fall and am wondering what maps would best to use. Where does a guy find maps of the national grasslands? Are there any must haves?

    Best rib recipe

    Looking for the best baby back ribs recipe you have. Going to do them on my smoker tomorrow but not sure what I should use for rubs and the best way (time, temp, wood choice) to cook them. Thanks in advance!

    Hunting the badlands

    My son drew an elk tag (E4) this year and we are just starting to put together our list of equipment we will need. We have never hunted in the badlands and are wondering what are the must haves for being out there?
