Just a heads up for you fellow fisherman that are in the Ranger Casino Series, there are 2 different pay sheets out there. Maybe further conversation in this thread will confirm which one was used at Devils Lake and Mobridge. Last weekend in New Town, there were 119 teams registered at the rules meeting. There was no payouts displayed there and the question was brought up "where is the money from the other 19 teams going?" To me, there was never an answer given to that question and the meeting went on. Saturday after every team had weighed in, the MC announced the extra prize money will be added to teams that placed 21st thru 39th. Only the top 20 teams were displayed leaving 5 teams in limbo whether they were getting invited to the big show, and others wondering if they cashed a check. It was a typical 4 Bears ran tournament, which a guy should know better. I was in the c-store waiting to use the bathroom and one of the tournament guys in charge, the same guy with the 2 scale fiasco a few years back, came in and asked the store employees "where's the sheet that says what we are paying these guys?" That moment I thought to myself "here we go again!" How hard is it to be organized after running tournaments that long? The tournament itself ran smoother with 3 spots to check in/launch in the morning, but then cue the weigh in. I figured with Ranger boats having their brand tied to this that it would be a tournament that would have their act together and not having 2 different pay sheets floating around and where the extra prize money would go before the rules meeting started. The MC "Keenan" was good with keeping us in the loop and gave the news today that they are sticking with the sheet they paid out at the tournament. I was a victim of the 2 scales a few years back and havent fished it until this year thinking less boats, less chaos, less BS with Ranger boats involved. I fish quite a few tournaments every year and this is the only one that has given me problems. Fool me once, shame on you, Fool me twice, shame on me.

I will post the conflicting paysheets in the comments as this post is long enough.

I can't sympathize with people that know they're going to get corn holed and still go do it anyway lol.

I'm not looking for sympathy, I knew damn well what I was dealing with and a slow learner. I was just hoping with more tournaments in this series that there would be consistency but all I'm hoping now is the ones that are signed up for prairie knights and the big show make them show the payouts before they leave the rules meeting.

And the rules sheet I seen before said 7 fish in the boat weigh 5 but then at rules meeting it was 12 fish in the boat if you had 3 people and 8 if you had 2 weigh 6. I think they need better structure in the tournament heads/committee and get more organized, it is still nice to have a 100% payback tournament series that actually has a good payout for angler of the year, I hope to fish all of them next year. If AIM would be 100% payback and have better kick in from sponsors I would fish that instead as I like the format.

Just a heads up, if your not sure you can fish the prairie knights casino one, DONT send them your entry fee!!! They will NOT refund your money if you have entered already!!! Called them to get my money back and they said our money has been allocated toward something already, no refunds. Tried to reason with them, I'm sure you all know how that turned out!! I learned my lesson the hard way!!!! I know other teams that tried to get their money back too and it was same BS!!! I also know for sure my team and the others that can't get their money back are done fishing casino tourneys!

"Play stupid games, win stupid prizes" Or maybe it should be "Play reservation games, win zero prizes" No sympathy for people who hand a single dime to the Rez casinos.

You should have taken first or second and you wouldn’t have had a problem!

I get a kick out of people whining about $500.....

Come on guys that's enough, you guys are getting personal. Making comments on the internet is very childish and very unprofessional. Also I am not a big fan of your guy's rez math and Peace pipe jokes ."Play reservation games, win zero prizes" No sympathy for people who hand a single dime to the Rez casinos. Not cool !

I was just wanting to spread awareness on the payout sheets floating around and maybe some accountability on how they run tournaments out of 4 Bears. As being part of a circuit you would think there would be some consistency with the other casinos. I'm not looking for any sympathy as I knew better, just giving the guys a heads up for prairie knights to cover your bases at the rules meeting.
