I’m generally an automatic guy but I do have a fair number of revolvers in the collection. This is one of the drawbacks of full power .357 Magnum loads in a short barrel revolver (my 3” barreled Taurus 650 in this case) and that’s the level of muzzle flash and blast. It’s kind of like having a flashbang going off out in front of your face every time you touch off a round. Kind of fun on the range in a sadomasochistic sort of way but a detriment for defensive use when your night vision is shot after the first round goes off. When I do carry my 650, I stick with +P .38 Specials for this very reason.
