Couple few Pythons seem reasonably good. I don’t shoot handgun much and I’m positively awful when I do. That said I’ve kicked myself a few times for not nabbing bargain priced S&W performance center 357’s.

I’m generally an automatic guy but I do have a fair number of revolvers in the collection. This is one of the drawbacks of full power .357 Magnum loads in a short barrel revolver (my 3” barreled Taurus 650 in this case) and that’s the level of muzzle flash and blast. It’s kind of like having a flashbang going off out in front of your face every time you touch off a round. Kind of fun on the range in a sadomasochistic sort of way but a detriment for defensive use when your night vision is shot after the first round goes off. When I do carry my 650, I stick with +P .38 Specials for this very reason.

I swear I’ve had students like that (generally med group shooters) on CATM firing ranges.
