In a weird way, Im not too bummed about getting drawn. I got a brand new permanent fish house for a screaming deal last spring. That's all I've been thinking about lately..

Not from what I've seen regarding state tags. Its usually the opposite, easy to spot the tribal tag hunters. Fourteen vehicles with out of state plates following one ND or SD vehicle. You certainly get some nice country from a tribal tag but not the mother lode. Lots of good deer country. All I've got to say is don't get caught on deeded land with a tribal tag where I hunt. Landowners there is not kind when that happens LOL!

Ya that's those tribal guides, the hunters go where they're taken, not unlike the lion slayer in Africa. There's a lot of checkerboard areas as well.

Have to ask roughly what part of the county are you hunting in? Where I am around 80% or so of the land is tribal and the number of deer is FAR superior to most of the rest of NoDak at this point. The reason I said they are easy to spot is we go from me talking to jeff Kelly one of the game wardens the weekend before the state season opens and neither one of us had seen another hunter yet that morning to needing to put up stop lights at the road intersections near plots ground the next weekend! There are a number of spots that can be used as trap spots since no nonnative land can be reached from the road so all they have to do is wait!

That whole area has gotten a bit crazy the last few years and takes the bulk of the nonresident traffic....especially on the ridge lines!:;:smokin
