He did get a reasonable shot K. Upon further investigation, it appears that even at 90 one can still get buck fever. I can't help but smile at that.

I HOPE I still have buck fever at that age. When I lose that, I think it's time to give it up. Still wished he could have connected though. I was pullin' for him and my hats off to him for having the drive and hutzpa to get after it. Very unique to have a patriarch that special. Congratulations to ALL involved!!!!

Well folks. We have come full circle. My dad drew this year and was able to get "revenge" for grandpa. Knocked down a bull yesterday.

Lulz. Not my pictures to share guys. Sorry. I can tell you that three very nice folks stopped their own elk hunting to help my dad get his the mile and change back to the truck. Dad returned to favor and stuck around the next day to help them find a bull. Which they did and the young hunter made a great shot and put down a very fine 6x6. The two of them together make a cool picture.
