Nice weights you could say. Most running to the arm I'd assume.

We were near Pouch on Friday as they were headed back and it looked like every single boat in the tourney came from waaaay up in the arm. I listened to the weigh in and it sounded like most every team had a hard time just catching their limit, I was glad to hear that because we had to work our butts off to get them to bite! And it looks like they are wanting to go deep again already, I sure hope its not like last summer!🤦‍♂️

Up next, Vanhook classic. Fishing should improve this next week. They always turn on right around the classic like clockwork every year.

I was at the weigh ins (if you will) each night and the sheer number of over 26" fish caught was staggering. Scoping took the W, but creek chubs were involved for just about all the top weights. The Classic fisherman have plenty of seed to work with if the weather will cooperate enough to let them find em! It sounded like if the tournament would have been held monday and tuesday, we would have seen an extra 10# or so on the top weights as fishing was lights out before the blow days.

Was out fishing Saturday out of Vanhook saw them boys all over. Jigging and rigging lots of nice fish. I just ran all over checking lots of spots caught some dandy's too, was not fast and furious. They are heading deeper for sure. Never tried cranks.

Since it's a catch n release, why limit the number of fish? If you can catch 50 or 100 of them why not?

I'm saying that a team that can boat 50 18 inch fish did better than a team who only boated 5 (or whatever the list is) 19 inch fish.

I think it's not how deep you plow but how many rounds you make
