Baffin Sizing

For those who wear Baffins, they seem to run small....how many sizes did you go up. I tried on pairs 1 size and 2 sizes bigger. The 2 sizes bigger seemed to fit the best but I'm curious how much the insulation inside the boot will mat down over time. I don't want to go 2 sizes larger only to have the insulation mat down and then they not fit.

Mine are size 11 and I usually wear a 9.5 depending on the boot.

I think mine are a 13. I need a wide 12.

i wear a 10 to 10.5, and went with a 12 in the baffins... they fight tight, and don't really compress down much it seems cuz the top insulation does not settle... i think to fit right, they need to feel roomy enough on the bottom cuz the top will fill in whatever the bottom compresses, if that makes sense???

also, these are not a boot that your foot will warm up - if you are gonna wear them ice fishing, don't leave them in the truck till you go or you're gonna have cold fee for quite a while... thermal mass science junk...

I wear a size 12D and a size 13 is fine for me with Baffins. I have COLD feet and double up on wool socks and throw in toe warmers and have plenty of room.

The only complaint I have with baffins are the damn soles. They are by far the most slippery boots/shoes I own. Be sure to pick up a set of grippers large enough to fit over the pair you buy. I eat ice the first time I wear mine every year. Back in the roughneck days a guy couldn't even push back 5 inch pipe if you forgot your grippers. Talk about feeling like a little biotch......

I may invest myself... My surfing boots are not ideal for my yak fishing.. They are lethal on slipways etc and they flop around too.

I wear a 13 normally and I wish the baffins I bought were size 12. These were the maasive safety toe pack boots that barely fit under my ice bibs
