With more boats on the river than ever before the city wants to help minimize congestion at the ramps by removing one of the two public ramps in the city. ( Sibley is rarely usable )

There will be a series of community sessions concerning the Riverfront Festival Ground coming up next week.

They will take place next Wednesday, March 13th at Bismarck Gateway to Science, at the North Dakota State Heritage Center on Thursday, March 14th from 5:30-7:30 pm, and Monday, March 18th from 11 am to 1 pm at the Huckleberry House.

Good luck stopping the g-- yuppy welfare expansion of Keelboat Park and the removal of the best boat landing in Bismarck! Last year I attended a so-called public input meeting at Huckleberry house for the plans to remove the boat landing and the public wasn't even given a chance to ask questions or respond to their pre-planned agenda. They had a power point presentation with master plans and drawings of the proposed park. It seems it was all pre-determined before that faux meeting. Good luck trying to stop it. Your taxes will not go up to pay for this multi-million dollar wet dream according to the proponents, it will be free.

My personal feelings have always been that Mandan has been the 4th of July host.
Bismarck budded in with the smaller celebration out of greed.
Let Mandan do the Forth, and Bismarck can encourage them to do so.
At the very least, Bis can join Mdn to make the Mdn event even bigger.
I state that I am a Bis resident, and my loyalty stays with Bis.
However, no need for Bismarck to try & stomp on Mdn's glory!!

I dont live in Mandan but Bismarck could Fup a wet dream, Folkfest used to be wonderful , packed. Kept increasing the prices on vendors , last time I went you could have fired a cannon and not hit anyone.
Same with street dances they used to have , packed but nope cant have that , everyone is having too much fun. I could go on and on
