They don’t, not by a long ways. The amount that a student pays in tuition and fees and the number the public school claims to need to accommodate them is quite a bit different. The remainder is picked up by the taxpayer. They aren’t paying for the athletes. In fact it’s very likely that if you factor in the economic impact plus the dollars raised for the school in tickets, media, team maker type groups, alumni, etc etc... the athletes cost the taxpayer far less than your average paying student.</p></blockquote><p></p>
