When out with my yr and a half  old Springer, it brings back memories of my English Setter which I had to put down 2 yrs ago and my older blind springer that I retired to our house dog this past year. It didn't hit me until a couple years ago that my rooster hunts were not about me or getting my birds each day at all. I now go..many times by myself and my dog...on purpose...not because I don't want friends along..but more so..that I really really really enjoy the time out in the field with my bud...well in this current case..my girl.  I care less and less how many I shoot but rather that I am damn lucky that my dog and I are healthy enough to be out enjoying what we both enjoy doing.</p></blockquote><p></p>
