I might have to try that. I have been using their Maple Sausage for a few years now and really like it. I don't enjoy making the links that much, but the wife likes them so I suffer through it.
Whatever happened to Marty ( mossymo?) He was doing well promoting his owens seasoning, showing his bbq prowness here,been a couple years,curious.

Not to hijack the thread but I get my stuff from Carson. Someone told me the other day they were closing..anyone know if this is true?
I heard a couple months ago that Double R Meats is/was/has closed. But I do not know for sure. Been a while since I have been down in that area, but will be near there next month. I was planning to stop in and buy some sausage and jerky. Hope they try to sell or hand the business off. hate to see them close. Everything I have had from there has been awesome. Carson location is hard for door traffic to keep business afloat. Butchering/Meat Markets are slowly becoming a thing of the past, which is why I get my kids involved when we make sausage/jerky/slim jim's. We used to do our own beef when my father-in-law who ranched was alive. Sure miss those days butchering cows and picks!

Butcher Block in Mandan also has a nice assortment of pre-made packs of seasoning, casing and spices which are really delicious.
