thought's on the link? i appreciate your insight on this topic. especially that you are not quick to use scare tactics on people like some of the other posts and will admit that all is not known already with this subject.

49994, I coordinated many research studies, phase II and III studies all the way through post market research. Right now we are pretty much running what seems like a huge phase III study, but kind of selling it as the administration of a post market vaccine. Usually by the time we are vaccinating the general public, we know the complete side effect profile and what to expect for folks with a variety of health profiles. My experience is that we are still determining both with the COVID vaccines. As for the subject in the article...I guess we will find out in the coming months. That being said, the consent process prior to vaccination is NOTHING like it should be IMO with all the unknowns we are dealing with. Like I said it’s being sold like we have been giving it for decades. It makes me nervous, I will be honest, because it goes against all of the research guidelines I had hammered into my brain for a decade and a half.

...but Fauchi said it’s totally safe and Biden said we all should take it so we should be fine.

Theres a guy on this site named shorthairsrus who thinks because of the job I have had for 20 years PRIOR to COVID that I should automatically be 100% hyping up and pushing this vaccine on everyone. However it’s just really hard for me to get totally behind something I’m not totally behind yet. Kind of like telling every 30 year veteran teacher that they should have been singing the praises of Common core math right out of the gate because they work at a school. That’s a tough nail to drive home.

I won’t ever talk someone out of getting it or talk someone into getting it. Until I know enough to make me comfortable I will continue to do what I feel is best for me and my family, namely my kids. We’ve been through COVID and the results of research I do trust tells me with a good amount of confidence that we SHOULD BE (no guarantee) holding our immunity and thus an incredibly small likelihood of being infectious to anyone for another 4 to 6 months at least. I will ride that wave for the short term and maybe in a couple months I will be convinced that The vaccine lives up to the hype. Like I said - no guarantees so I will continue to use an abundance of caution around others in the meantime but it helps that my folks, some of my in-laws, a couple neighbors and my siblings all had it as well so we do hang out together.

Taken directly out of the dictionary:

vac·cine

/vakˈsēn/

noun
noun: vaccine; plural noun: vaccines

a substance used to stimulate the production of antibodies and provide immunity against one or several diseases, prepared from the causative agent of a disease, its products, or a synthetic substitute, treated to act as an antigen without inducing the disease.

1. This shot doesn't provide immunity so it CAN'T be a vaccine, by definition!! It DOES NOT provide immunity and NOBODY has claimed it will. Including those who are pushing it. So why is it being called a vaccine???

2. Viruses mutate so fast that attempting to provide immunity to one virus at one point in time is useless as the virus will mutate into something else well before a vaccine can be developed for its previous form.

3. This shot is EXPERIMENTAL (mRNA) and hasn't been used before. I do not wish to participate in experimental and untried shots for something that threatens me with a < 0.05 % chance of mortality.

4. As this shot is EXPERIMENTAL it is IMPOSSIBLE to tell my what the effectiveness of this shot will be against the present virus or any future virus.

To get the shot or to not get the shot....hmmmmmmmmm

Holy hell. Is it like a penicillin shot or what?

I disagree, I'd rather they spread it to someone close to them (you know, those who tolerated or encouraged their behavior over the years) than someone that is close to me.

BTW, zoops...that was a great clip! Hilarious and on point.

So the other side of this coin would be those opposed to the vaccine hoping you get sick from the vaccine. Doubt those that disagree with you on this are that childish.

Uhh, no.

The risk(s) associated with getting the vaccine are restricted to that one individual.

The risks of running around unvaccinated extend out beyond that one individual. To people they know and do not know.

So why is it being called a vaccine??? Umm, it does cause immunity in 96% (per data reported by Pfizer, etc). How long it lasts is undetermined.

2. Viruses mutate so fast that attempting to provide immunity to one virus at one point in time is useless as the virus will mutate into something else well before a vaccine can be developed for its previous form. Yes

3. This shot is EXPERIMENTAL (mRNA) and hasn't been used before. I do not wish to participate in experimental and untried shots for something that threatens me with a < 0.05 % chance of mortality. This science has been used before.

4. As this shot is EXPERIMENTAL it is IMPOSSIBLE to tell my what the effectiveness of this shot will be against the present virus or any future virus. 95% effective on current. Future viral strains is unknown.

To get the shot or to not get the shot....hmmmmmmmmm

My general distrust of the govt in their past endeavors will keep me from getting it till vetted out. Not going to be another one of their Tuskegee experiments. I find it funny people so pro America are willing to just throw people’s choices out the window. Funny how support of the constitution and rights wavers to ones needs. This keeps getting compared to small pox, polio and measles but did we ever shut the country down for those disease? If you get it good for you if you don’t so be it .

IDK know either.

More folks need to watch "Little House On the Prairie": Mr. Edwards could kick some ass.

Whom do you think was tougher? Mr. Edwards, Merlin Olson, or Grizzly Adams?

Mr. Edwards has chunks of men like Merlin and Grizzly in his stool.

These are the selfish citizens I'm talking about. How many people did you spread it to the 1st time you got it? Did you even bother to quarantine?

- - - Updated - - -

So they spread it to someone close to them who then spread it to someone else, who spread it to some else, who spread it to some else, who spread it to some else, who spread it to some else, who spread it to some else, who spread it to some else, who spread it to some else, who spread it to some else, who spread it to some else, who spread it to some else, who spread it to some else, who spread it to some else, who spread it to some else, who spread it to some else, who spread it to some else, who spread it to some else, who spread it to some else, who spread it to some else, who spread it to some else, who spread it to some else, who spread it to some else, who spread it to some else, who spread it to some else, who spread it to some else, who spread it to some else, who spread it to some else, who spread it to some else, who spread it to some else, who spread it to some else, who spread it to some else, who spread it to some else, who spread it to some else, who spread it to some else, who spread it to some else, who spread it to some else, who spread it to some else, who spread it to some else, who spread it to some else, who spread it to some else, who spread it to some else, who spread it to some else, who spread it to some else, who spread it to some else, who spread it to some else, who spread it to some else, who spread it to some else, who spread it to some else, who spread it to some else,

AND then its spreads to one of your loved ones.

I did my quarantine. That's another thing that has become a moving target. First it was 14 day quarantine then low and behold out of nowhere it just becomes 10 days. Then you get "credit" if you were wearing a mask but had "close contact" with someone. Good grief!! there is no rhyme or reason for any of the rules. Maybe we can get fuctup Fauci to elaborate some more.

Kind of ironic how everyone constantly bitches about the lying press but then when their or their friends families lives could be at stake they'll believe a talking head with no education over our country's best and brightest scientists.

Taking bets now on when this is in the past a couple years from now, will there be less than hundreds of thousands or hundred of millions that still never got or will get the vaccine?
