Acme has lots of various deals going on for both brands pretty regularly and during the Holiday season is when I work on getting various products for work to increase my bang for the buck with my tool allowance I get from my job.

Personally have used DeWalt for decades. They used to have repair centers where I lived and never charged more than half to repair. They no longer offer this service. The tools have never failed me.
On the jobsite contractors all have Milwaukee, same battery many tools.

I have a relative who went the adapter route - They sure know what they want for those stupid adapters. Good grief.

I'm a Milwaukee guy. I'd hate to switch over half way through a collection. $$$$$$
I bought some adapters to fit the old Dewalt 18V stuff to accept modern Milwaukee 18V batteries. It was pretty cheap. This surprises me
