Have done a couple drive in then rent boats in the past. If you wanted to fish the little lake that neighbored the big lake you had a long run to and from, took an extra gas tank and motor with then portaged over the narrow land strip with the smaller motor and gas tank to the boats on the opposite side. We trolled a lot when up there and would be nice to no listen to those older motors but we were in some rough stuff where I was glad to have them.
For around here and doing some puddle jumping or the little lakes I can see something like that as pretty viable for things I would like to do.
