Googe lindy rigs from shore and you will get all kinds of people who will tell you how to use them. The trick is using braided line because of the solid hook sets and egg weights and barrel swivels. Your lindy rigs can differ in length which is based on the depth of your water

Lunkerslayer has poor hygiene and drinks beer which tastes of fruit. He watches Sex And The City while painting his nails. He makes children and women touch any fish he catches.

I am correct.

Can't really use wire IMO: This is for walleye, cat etc. In the tailrace a "no roll" sinker is best.

I'll squirrel this info away if and when I get more south for it. I haven't been to trailrace and don't plan to for at least until next summer.

Get there. It's good stuff: It's almost like fishing off a pier in saltwater for the variety. A (properly) inflated crawler will catch everything down there. (Again-- thanks for the advice from FBO from someone with a kind heart)

The water stays cold and the fish are delicious. I'm not a big fish guy and the Tailrace has completely ruined channel cat from any other part of the Country. They DO NOT taste like mud. You may latch into a trout/salmon which will strain your arms. No shit. My PB rainbow is 8lbs on an 8in jointed Rapala; on a warm day in November while throwing for a pike with a head as big as a horse.

I've been typing on this for a while. I wonder if Lunker is still absorbing my truth.

The aforementioned pike exploded through a school of trout fingerlings off the blocks. (boat ramp)

"It's one more beer and I don't hear you anymore." When you fish the TR worms; don't set the hook too soon OR too late. Too soon: Rip it away. Too late: Gut hook. Fish actually eat these lures.

lol good to know! I'll keep that in mind for tomorrow. I ordered some more wide set hooks lone with some thinner long wire hooks. Oh and some bullet weights.

It does help to fish at the right time. Morning and evening is best. In between your hoping for a miracle basically.

hahaha yeah, so far the best luck I have had is just pike and I've only caught them around 9-10am. No luck earlier or later weirdly with it being hot.

I wouldn't bother with the bullet weight. The wire should be enough weight in your situation.

Good grief!! Sorry: With the wire as your weight, don't hop like a jig. Cast, let settle on bottom then slide back with short strokes and pauses (pauses up to 30sec--it's almost like fishing with live bait) with a low rod tip. Always watch your line and again don't lift out of the water too soon. Strikes can literally occur at your feet. Be sure the drag isn't too tight.

If the wire isn't enough weight, pinch an egg shaped split shot in the middle of the leader. IMO it's more important to "swim" a worm from the bank rather than use it like a big jig. A lot of repeat info--I'm fishing vicariously to prove a point to a few non-believers.

Yeah I have been using mostly the little pinching weights lately, but I'm happy with repeat information. I have ADHD and mom brain so I have to take notes for any thing to actually stick into my fucking brain anyways. Appreciate your advice!
