Yes the Yellowstone is the problem at the moment, north of here now they are evacuating homes near the Missouri because of a huge amout of water on the way. As far as the Yellowstone goes now people are measuring decreases in the water level then a mile down the road increases, almost like the jam and area is getting wider instead of longer, not good. Hopefully the sun does some big damage to this ice in the upcoming hours. - - - Updated - - - Here is a little more of the concern about the Missouri: UPDATE: Richland County DES reached out to DNRC to get clarification on the Missouri River report. The Missouri River at Culbertson crested at midnight last night - water peaked 8-10' within the past 4-5 days. The flow is moving through the system with ice still intact. (not broken up). The river will continue to rise and either jam along the Missouri or flow to the Confluence and either jam or push the ice out from the Confluence which will cause an impact downstream and people should be aware of their surroundings at all times and be ready to evacuate at a moments notice. I have volunteers calling folks that live along the Missouri River and if you know someone, please let them know this information as some folks do not have social media.
