I like what one of the people said in the comments about this detection system, they thought that it would be a way for the automotive companies to make sure you are not carrying too big of a payload, the automotive company could void your warranty if they detected you were carrying a payload that was bigger then your suggested weight. They could make you pay for that extra weight or void your warranty if your vehicle happens to need maintenance caused by overloaded payload. Interesting analogy
