Message: <blockquote data-quote="hardwaterdriller" data-source="post: 163589" data-attributes="member: 1256"><p>Seems every time I go fishing there, all the fish came on tipups.  We try jigging with a sonar, and you mark some, but didn't seem to want to bite.  So now we just bring the tipups.  Even the northerns didn't care for smelt, usually have better luck on minnows.  So usually everything has a steel leader, walleyes don't seem to mind it either.  During the summer, I think it is different than Sak.  Try the same tackle as Sak, and can't get a bite.  So figure pull cranks for awhile, and had to use the biggest musky cranks (6"-8") I can find.  Get some big northerns and nice walleyes.</p></blockquote><p></p>
