Today crude oil $80/barrel and dropping,my local gas mart still $4.25/gal we had $2.25/gal b4 we hit iran then "poof" 24hrs later $3.50+ /gal same fuel in the ground no over night fuel dump, scam,not to mention we don't rely on mideastern oil or this straight. Curious how this shitshow plays out.

I imagine the BILLIONS other presidents sent over there came out of our pockets too, was just disguised in other ways.

Economists call this the "rockets and feathers" dynamic:
  • Rising (Like a Rocket): When crude oil prices spike, retail gas prices shoot up almost immediately to reflect higher replacement costs for the next delivery to their station.
  • Falling (Like a Feather): When crude oil drops, gas prices at the pump fall much more slowly. Retailers often take longer to drop their prices to sell off older, higher-priced inventory.

making extra bank on both the up and down of crude oil prices
