Prosecutors said deputies found EDC financial documents and an organization credit card there.Court documents also allege Gonitzke told investigators that she wrote herself more than $112,000 in checks from the EDC. The documents also state she allegedly used EDC credit cards for purchases investigators identified during the case.Prosecutors also accuse Gonitzke of receiving payments from the City of Kramer monthly rather than twice a year. Investigators said they identified more than $50,000 in city funds that could not be accounted for.Gonitzke has been released on bond and has retained an attorney. A future court date had not been scheduled as of Wednesday.A Class A felony in North Dakota carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and a $20,000 fine.The Bottineau Economic Development Corporation is a nonprofit that provides economic-development assistance and business financing.
