So kind of modeling this thread after the All Ha's Ha's all the time, and the Caffeinated Beverage thread, I was thinking we could use a sticky (or at least well used) thread of nothing but Good News to help offset all the negative news in the world.

I'll start the ball rolling with an article I just ran across that fits:

ISIS Fighters in Iraq Killed by Wild Boars Before They Can Ambush Locals

Three militants loyal to the Islamic State group (ISIS) have been killed by wild boars as they planned to ambush Iraqi tribesmen opposed to the group, according to a local anti-ISIS leader.
At least eight ISIS fighters had reportedly taken cover among dense reeds in Iraq's al-Rashad region, about 55 miles southwest of Kirkuk, in preparation for a surprise attack on local anti-ISIS tribesman when a herd of wild boars attacked the jihadists on Sunday, killing three. The militants likely disturbed the notoriously short-tempered animals, said Sheikh Anwar al-Assi, a chief of the local Ubaid tribe and head of the group of local tribesmen who took up arms after ISIS took control of the nearby town of Hawija.

“It is likely their movement disturbed a herd of wild pigs, which inhabit the area as well as the nearby cornfields. The area is dense with reeds, which are good for hiding in,” Assi told The Times.

A wild boar is seen in a booby trap near a residential area in an evacuation zone near Tokyo Electric Power Co's tsunami-crippled Fukushima No. 1 nuclear power plant in Tomioka town, Fukushima prefecture, Japan, February 28, 2017. While fatalities are relatively uncommon, wild boar attacks can pose a serious threat to local populations around the world. Toru Hanai/Reuters
The event was corroborated by local Kurdish fighters who have joined Iran-backed Shiite Muslim militias in attempting to oust ISIS from nearby Hawija. The jihadists' mutilated bodies were reportedly discovered by refugees fleeing the violence that has beset the war-torn nation. An alliance consisting of Iraqi military, majority Shiite Muslim militias (called Al-Hashd Al-Shaabi), U.S.-led coalition forces and Kurdish units (known as peshmerga) are seeking to drive ISIS out of Iraq, according to Brigadier Azad Jelal, the deputy head of the Kurdish intelligence service in Kirkuk.

“Three fighters from ISIL were near the Peshmerga checkpoint in al-Rashad. They met some feral boars and the boars killed the three fighters,” Jelal told The Telegraph, using an alternative acronym for ISIS.
“Some refugees saw the bodies on the edge of a farm when they were fleeing and they told us. A few days later ISIL started to kill pigs around the area," he added.
The news first appeared on the local Iraqi news site Al-Sumeria, which quoted unidentified local sources, and later gained attention on social media as officials confirmed the event. While fatalities caused by wild boars are relatively uncommon in the region, the animals are known for their relentless, ferocious attacks that can result in death, according to a 2006 article titled "Death by attack from a wild boar" published in the Journal of Forensic Medicine.

"The boar has a typical method of attack wherein it steadily rushes forward, pointing the tusks towards the animal to be attacked and inflicts the injuries. It goes back, takes position and attacks the victim again. This repeated nature of attack continues till the victim is completely incapacitated due to multiple penetrating injuries, which can have a fatal consequence," the authors wrote.
Sunday's incident reportedly came after ISIS massacred at least 25 local civilians attempting to escape areas under the jihadists' control. As pro-government forces close in, ISIS's territory, which is down to less than seven percent of the nation from 45 percent in 2014, has been largely reduced to the northwestern city of Mosul, where a months-long battle has been waged by the Iraqi military and its allies to defeat the jihadists. The militants still maintain small pockets of control in southern Kirkuk.

IMO, fuzzy bunny looks photoshopped. It's hard for me not to at least crack a smile when United is the one getting the smack-down.

Simon was the son of Darius, the world’s largest rabbit (Picture: Caters)United Airlines has confirmed they are investigating reports that a giant rabbit died while travelling to Chicago on one of its transatlantic flight.
Simon, a three-foot continental rabbit, was reportedly travelling from Heathrow to Chicago’s O’Hare Airport after the 10-month old bunny was purchased by a celebrity owner.
But breeder Annette Edwards has now claimed that the animal was on course to grow even bigger than his father Darius – who became the world’s biggest rabbit after growing to 4ft 4 inches.
She told The Sun: ‘Something very strange has happened and I want to know what. I’ve sent rabbits all around the world and nothing like this has happened before.
‘The client who bought Simon is very famous. He’s upset.’

‘We have been in contact with our customer and have offered assistance. We are reviewing this matter.’

I'm throwing the BS flag on this one. If these guys were intending to ambush some people they would have had guns or some other weapons besides harsh language. The hogs may have charged these guys, but I highly doubt they would have been defenseless enough to NOT fire upon these pigs that were killing them or be able to get away using whatever they were going to use on these tribesmen. I think these guys were tied down and made to look like isis fighters with the sole purpose of having the pigs kill them. Something just doesn't add up here.

Hmmmm Muslims don't eat pigs, but pigs eat Muslims. I think I would run a couple of weeks of grain through those pigs before eating so they don't leave a bad taste in my mouth. But then cannibals called people long pork.

[h=1]'I warned him': Woman, 68, shoots man doing private thing on bike who then chased her to doorstep[/h]By Washington Post Today at 7:30 a.m.

The sign on her door reportedly said, "Save the drama for your mama."
But when that message didn't appear to get across to the man masturbating on her doorstep, the 68-year-old Houston woman warned she would have to go get her pistol.

The woman, identified only as "Granny Jean" in local news, was taking out her trash about 5:15 Tuesday evening when the man riding his bicycle while masturbating approached her, according to Houston Police Lt. Larry Crowson.
"She was alarmed by this," Crowson told reporters at the scene, and the woman started back toward her house.
The man followed her - still masturbating.
"Some guy pulled off his pants and pulled his pants open, playing with his thing," she told KTRK, the local ABC affiliate, "and he ran up in my yard, and I told him to get away from my door, or I will shoot him."

He didn't stop coming, Crowson said. And meanwhile, the woman's 14-year-old granddaughter was inside.
So she did what she promised and ran to grab her gun.
She said the man kept approaching, "reaching for my door," she told KTRK, "and he wouldn't stop. So, I shot him through the door."
Crowson said she struck the man with a single shot to the chest, near his shoulder.
The man then stumbled back through her front yard, wobbled onto his bicycle and attempted to pedal away, Crowson said. Then he collapsed on the sidewalk, where paramedics ultimately rushed him to the hospital.
He is expected to survive his injuries, Crowson said.

Crowson said the Harris County District Attorney's Office is reviewing the case and it is not clear whether the woman will face any charges. Texas is a stand-your-ground state.
Jean's neighbors told reporters they would have done the same thing in her shoes.
"Ain't no telling what else he was gonna do," one woman said. "You don't know what he got. She was protecting her property."
As for the unidentified man, Crowson said the police are familiar with him. He was arrested a couple weeks ago while running down the street naked, he said.
"I don't bother nobody," the woman told KTRK. "I don't get in nobody's business. It's just me and him, and like I keep saying, I warned him."

I have recently started hitting the BMX track with my daughter, and I have to say "It's like riding a bike.." does not really apply. It's a LOT more work than I remember, even though the bikes are WAYYYY better. I get the bike 4" off the ground, and my heart about comes out of my chest.
