If people weren’t so worried about “sticking it to the man” and latched on to bullshit headlines, there might be better candidates. We won’t take Canada (an ally, also a commonwealth of Great Britain, an ally so it would take an act of war). Greenland is a territory of Denmark (an ally that has fought and bled with us in every conflict since the 90s) and we already have bases and ICBMs there. Renaming the gulf is just more blowhard fluff for the lowest common denominators to boast about.
