Buy a vintage brace for $5-10 if you don't want to drag a power drill around.

They're capable of sinking anchors into wood and ice is comparatively soft.

Drop the auger from the drill, lock in the anchor attachment and sink the anchors. Then go back to the drill.

Oh I forgot, some have weak wrists and think they need the drill plate.

For the record, I fish with guys in their 60’s and 80’s who run the drill straight with a handle to the auger…………

Before I bought the Strikemaster 40 Lite I was running a brushless DeWalt and an Eskimo flight and let 'er rip. No issues, fastest cutting setup I've run. But I had the worry of it catching at the bottom of the hole and sending me for a ride. Now that I own the Strikemaster I don't have that concern of ripping my wrists apart.....call me weak or woke if you want to lol I don't care. It might take me 15 seconds more to drill a hole, worth it to me.

If your 4 holes are 7+ feet apart and drawing walleyes in from 6-8 feet around each hole, you are actually drawing them in from a much larger area than 2 holes 4 feet apart. Right?

I've ran my K'drill both ways and much prefer with the plate after I put it on, but never found it to be necessary. It's just handier when wondering around and keeps the drill and battery off the ice especially if dealing with water or slush. To each their own

I went to the plate when I broke the handle on the drill.

I like how it keeps the drill out of slush and people who aren’t used to drills can pick up the plate and drill with no coaching.

Had the drill, added the plate. Drill batteries always let me down. Bought the SM40. Sold the plate, drill used for home crafts now.

Which one is most compatible with the various k-drill diameters I currently own?

Dirty ice here in east - so I prefer to stay w unit that comes with a 10” chipper. (don’t have one that big currently)

I still got my good ole Jiffy Model 30. Haven't ran it since getting the K drill which I bought because I royaly screwed my back up but wanted to keep fishing. Used to drill out 15-20 holes when I hit my area's a lot of times before setting up, that 10in is so nice for tip ups and great for getting your weekend workout in.

Same as you, still have mine as well. Currently a decoration in my garage as it hasn't been used in years. My back hurts just thinking about it.

I gifted mine to my son, he now cant seem to get it started. He is picking up a strikemaster 24V for $290.

Yep model 30 sitting in storage shed. Keep it as a back up for when china emp us and electronics wont work. I know that old bastard will fire on the second pull

I rebuilt the carb a couple times when I started having problems and never could get it quite right, took it to Scheels Hardware in Fargo and they basically did the same thing and it ran perfect again after setting the jets, dumb part is I got the previous 2 kits from them so obviously small engines don't agree with me.

I interchange the SM liteflite bit and my 8.5" Kdrill bit on my SM40 powerhead.

My strikemaster 40volt bolted directly to my 8.5 kdrill. It will power out once in awhile if I'm really pushing and working the motor but other than that no issues have been had

Remove the handy dandy bolt in the collar with an allen wrench and swap bits.
Maybe carry a drill to make removing the bolt faster
