Also a lot of the river walleye are tight to the bottom so they don't stick out like one would expect, as zoops stated can be very minute with very little shadow due to being that close to bottom. As for settings I looked at some videos on YouTube for settings and info and worked with it until I got it so it seems to be working. Next time I use mine will try to remember to note some of my settings and send them to you by PM as a starting point to try.
