Coal lake

Hey everyone, thinking of checking out coal lake this weekend. Anyone had any luck there lately? Just looking for a small lake to take the 15ft boat out and catch some eyes. Might be too breezy for horsehead where I have been going lately, which was good to me.

Sorry, I haven't heard of anyone going there for quite some time. Probably not since winter and the reports I heard last winter were slow. I wouldn't let that prevent me from giving it a shot though. Be prepared for alot of weeds based on what I saw a couple summers ago. Just have to fish deeper. I would bet there are some nice sized fish left in there but just might be lower numbers. The water was pretty clear too so I would want a little breeze and I would fish the windy sides. Good luck!

Is this Coal lake down by Harvey ? AKA as coal mine lake ? We used to catch huge perch own there, and a lot of them, so long ago that I don't remember when . mid 80s maybe ?
