Message: <blockquote data-quote="Wildyote" data-source="post: 116409" data-attributes="member: 2259"><p>Wow that is taking the Roy to the limit.  When I ran the Vanguard on the chronograph it was 150 fps slower than the Remington with same load.  Some guns it may not matter some it does.  I have seen custom guns with same actions, barrel, barrel length and same reamer used that have had quite a difference in velocity using the same load.  I would believe that it all has to do with the pressure created.  I have a 20 vartarg with a 20 in Hart barrel that is all that is needed for max velocity.  I also have a 6 dasher that has a 26 in Douglas barrel that has 4 inches more than it needs.</p></blockquote><p></p>
