The Abu seems like a nice reel with the longer stem, a bigger diameter spool and a quick folding handle with a decent price. The Pflueger Monarch seems nice with the long stem and bigger spool but feels cheaper made and no quick flip handle. I love my Pflueger Trion's (2) & Abu Cardinal (1), like my cheap long stem Lakes and Rivers ice reel (was $10) and my Frabil ice reel is ok.</p><p>Does anyone feel that the larger diameter spools help with a little less line twist on rods using lighter lures?</p></blockquote><p></p>
