I agree with most of the comments on here, the hardest part about finding walleye on sak is the fact it is so big and hard water trolling is tough, takes a lot of energy to drill enough holes to find them consistently. plus sak has a tendency to get sketchy ice, darling (be careful for the ice isn't always the best due to the current) but it does tend to produce some big eyes from time to time, audubon (that's where you will probably find me most of the winter) mostly safe there is a couple of springs but if you drill holes as you go you are good and tons of structure. look at the stocking report and you can usually find some small lakes that have good numbers of perch, walleye, gills, crappie or what ever your flavor might be (google north dakota stocking report and you will find large lakes and small lakes pdf's)
