It's unbelievably convenient to be able to scan and cast with no other distractions since I still use a down rod and don't depend on moving my trolling motor scan. </p><p></p><p>The spot lock seems to anchor in a lot better and the "dogs tail" doesn't wag nearly as much in high winds. Jogging while spot locked is also huge benefit but you need the heading sensor for that as well. </p><p></p><p>Honestly, I probably don't need an advanced GPS trolling motor the way I fish. I don't troll, I don't use cruise control, etc.</p></blockquote><p></p>
