Knowing the way the Media has been exposed the last few years it makes you wonder if they just fed the american public the whole Camelot facade and the people probably ate it up cause then there was only the 3 network news and people believed whatever they reported. From what I read alot of his policies on cutting taxes and guns would make him a republican in todays climate. He was onto what some of the CIA was up to and made that comment about breaking up the CIA and spreading it to the 4 winds. It seems they took care of Him shortly after that.

I was in Grade 7 when the news was announced. Coparing today's politics to then isn't even close in my mind. In ND at least I would bet that Democrats back then would be full-fledged Republicans toady Can't imagine anyone back then approving of the things that go on today. No proof of who was responsible for Kennedys death back then but certainly a lot of conflicting theories.

Was he a womanizer, most likely. But we didn't have 24 hour news then and even then they weren't so likely to want to spraad rumors about any president. Think about how long it took the press to really press for info on Clinton and his straying. Today, if Clinton had been a Republican would have been much bigger news.
