What other than just the drilling of holes is supposedly the spooking agent associated with livescope? Is it the sonar waves ? I'm still lost on half this stuff.
Did go out to the neighbors house last evening and watched a bit. Was interesting, just pike while I was there..

. Another friend of mine was talking with a guide in MN on a trip he recently took.
Allegedly they "herd" panfish to clients by using multiple livescopes away from
where the clients are fishing and they push the fish to them. Said they aren't the
only guide doing it and it's upped their catch so much that they can actually turn
more clients per day because of it.

Who hires guides 4 sunnys. Take em take em all
I personally wouldn't spend the money, but there are some trophy crappie and sunfish lakes out there for people trying to get a PB. Also probably fun for a group with kids.

Could be read as "glad y'all are figuring out what the rest of us overpaid for several years ago"....I know you're being sarcastic lol. But I'm glad others are getting to experience and learn from what we've been seeing. It is a GAME CHANGER to understanding the fish world.
close, I was lucky enough to have a friend who has a friend that’s a Garmin dealer. I’m glad you are able to pick up on my sarcasm!

The sonar must do it. I know the bass guys claim that they’ve had to be much more careful with it as more have used it. I thought I heard some guys at the NWT on Sak claim the same thing. Ice fishing would be the best test for that I’d say.

Congrats on your new toy purchase, definitely a game changing technology for sure!

Have had mine for 3 or 4 seasons now, upgraded to a 1243 graph last season. Really enjoy livescope ice fishing, never a boring day.
But last summer I left it out of the boat and didn't miss it at all. I usually have 3 or 4 folks in the boat and I found it to be a pretty "selfish " kind of tool. Where id be up front playing video games while the other sat in the back. Last summer without it we had allot more fun, still caught lots of limits just having fun fishing. Each to their own I guess. Did use it in the fall for suspended pan fish in the little boat and up in Canada catching Lakers. There was just two of us and we both had them one on each side of the boat.
Speaking of spooking fish, last winter on Winnipeg we had a guide come up to us and asked us to turn ours off because it was scaring the fish off. I wonder about that as well. Seemed like we caught way more master size fish up there when we didn't have livescope. Now you see fish come in and veer off allot more..who knows!

I fished a guided group of 6 on Winnipeg 2 years ago. I was the only one using a livescope both days, I caught the least amount of fish, and the smallest fish by size and it wasn't even close. I'll be using a flasher 90% of the time this year.
