Lived in the northern part of ND and we didn't get it as bad as other places but still plenty of snow. At that time we also did not have many livestock on the farm so it was mostly an inconvenience for us. Roads were blocked so it was stay at home for a few days and watch 1 or the 2 or 3 channels we received on TV. It was probably about that time when I really became interested in pinochle and whist. Didn't play much whist later in life but I'm pretty sure I was qualified for a minor in pinochle by the time I graduated from college.</p><p></p><p>Is it just me or does it seem like we don't get the high snow drifts like back then. According to the weather we receive about the same amount of snow most winters.</p></blockquote><p></p>
