Of course, the amount of geologic investigation necessary to design a tile drain for removal of an alkaline spot, along with the cost of the tile drain, and maintenance, would also suggest this to be an unprofitable venture. </p><p></p><p>One thing that is also know though is that the source area for where the water is infiltrating can often be easily identified.
