Message: <blockquote data-quote="snow1" data-source="post: 328929" data-attributes="member: 7725">Well guyz now is not the time to purchase a new or used vehicle iffin you can hold off,dealers can't get product for one reason or another,to get inline for a new purchase dealers are getting sticker price  or more with little or no factory rebates,dealers are required to request a sold order build from the factory and wait until request is accepted before order is placed which takes weeks,as stated above factories have 1000's of built vehicles sitting waiting for these micro chips coming from china to complete the build(thank biden),some dealers are sitting on said vehicles but can't sell or demonstrate without these chips but one can look and wish...this is driving up the prices on used vehicles big time as dealers have limited new vehicle sales on new and fewer trades to sell as used so good quality used vehicles are bringing bookoo bucks....I'm told as of this month GM  HD trucks are 5-6 months out for build,GM light duty (1500) trucks will have a new generation pickup by next spring(build stars this winter,maybe),GM in still building out 2021 1500 trucks (current body style)and will fire -up 2022 1500 product ( old body style) sept 2nd for a few weeks phasing out certain option's and body sheet metal.You guyz with a bun in the oven (order placed) should keep in contact with your dealership sales rep who can tract the build for you via "dealer business center",here everything from build date to any hold-ups they will let you/dealer know once the center is contacted,otherwise it's sit and wait.FYI.</blockquote>
