Paddle Tail Jig

What is everyone's favorite size and brand of jigs for paddle tails? I fish river systems so Im not crazy about paying $4 a piece either. I have used slurp heads and liked those.

Tough to beat a white Mister Twister 3" I'd say. I also like the Walleye Assassin white and light blue sparkle.

For my beloved Sheyenne river, this is a great way to go with a couple things to consider. For rivers with more stained water like the Sheyenne, it's more about the contrast than the actual color. Think of it from the walleyes perspective. They sit on the bottom looking up. What they see is usually a shadow or an outline against the lighter sky compared to the black bottom. Colors like blacks and browns show up way better than lighter colors against that lighter background of the sky. Whites, chartreuse, and yellow work better when the water is clearer as a good rule of thumb. In the Sheyenne, the water clarity can change hour to hour so keeping your options open is important. For paddle tails I would look at using a 4 1/2 inch walleye assassin or saltwater assassin in shad color. You get black and white contrasts that work well in both stained or clearer water clarities. Authentx pulse-R have much more action than walleye assassins.
Have got some eye candy but haven't used yet
