I have been at the cabin for more than a week now. The fishing has been solid. It hasn't been gangbusters, like it was in early June, but it has still been very good. The fish are definitely into their summer pattern, being spread out and mostly deeper. As of late, we have had our best luck in that 25 fow range.

Covering ground has been a good tactic for us, either pulling cranks or trolling bouncers. Any hump and bump out there seems to have the potential for holding fish.

I have found some pods of fish, in very shallow water. With how much the water has risen, there is plenty of flooded vegetation in that 5 fow, or less, range. It hasn't been the hottest tactic, for me, but something to be aware of.

Plenty of summer left. Get out there!

Seems like they want to chase something. Slow dealth setup and cranks, jigging raps, and other presentations not so good. Bad part to many nice fish really deep so have to keep them can tell by redness in throat area. Any day fishing is better than work.

Ever tried "wobble jigs" tipped with a leech in the vegetation. LB
