Yep the 270 will kill anything in North America.

I have the larger .308 too, but it was a raffle won gun, and not scoped at the moment.

Was notified today that my second draw for the left over cow tag was successful.

I finally will have one of the big three out of the way, but sadly there will be no mount after the hunt.

I hope you get one . However getting a cow will be lots tougher than getting a bull that’s just my experience and opinion but I hope your successful

I’ve shot 3 elk with a .270 , like others said use a good bullet . All of mine were shot with 130 grain bullets, They group better out of the gun. None of them required a second shot.

I would use a 243 with the sierra 107 tmk.

Bullets matter more than head stamp so use a good bullet hit it where you should and it will die

Has to be .25 caliber or bigger.

What's dumb is my luck....30+ years of applying and have not drawn for an elk or moose. 7+ years without a buck tag. Just dumb luck...

Can’t assume you’ll draw elk or moose It’s low % that you ever will and I’m not waiting 7 years to hunt Mule deer which is why I shoot elk and Mule deer out of state .

There is no assumption. I understand it is a draw, but man, I know of more people that applied for their first time and drew....I do hunt elk out of state, but would like to fill a tag in the state I grew up in.
