THE RIVER HAS STABLE WATER!
Last week I said “I have seen more fish moving into the outside seams and faster water.” This week the fish are in those mid river holes with faster current and it is GAME ON! I am still using 5oz sinkers because of a few of the spots I am fishing but 4oz is working fine in most places Sit times have shortened to about 10 minutes but I have still been staying for 20-25 minutes to make sure I am getting the most out of a spot.
Dead sucker is still my preferred bait but frogs are working well. Goldeye works I am sure but I have not committed much time to it yet.

This Friday and Saturday is Cats Incredible in East Grand Forks. Catfish Capital Challenge in Drayton ($10,000 guaranteed 1st place) is August 9 and 10. A few spots remain in both.
