Looking for product recommendations to remove some light dock rash/scuffs on a boat I just purchased. They're not deep and some look to be on top of the gel coat. From what I've read, it seems like I need to use a polish to remove them. The problem is that there are way to many choices. Anyone have recommendations?

I'm leaning towards this stuff for no particular reason at all...

I've heard good things about "The Chemical Guys" brand stuff, but never used it. ..

AND...

After I get them removed, I'm going to need a good product to protect it. I've heard good things about the "Honda" brand wax you get from the honda dealer.

Those ads for "Topcoat F11" on facebook are pretty tempting, but I dont feel like selling my 1st born to finance a bottle of that stuff. I found this stuff on amazon and according to the description, it appears to be very similar, if not the same thing.

Anyone use any of these?

Thanks for the help.

Works like a charm. Put a little on a towel and wipe in. Will take out scuffs and scratches.

Would this work on the cowling of my motor? I have a Verado, so it is black, that has a light scuff/scratch on it. I raised my motor to high with the ski pole in... It didn't leave to bad of a mark, but it bothers me every time I see it!

Turtle Wax Rubbing Compound paste, the orangey-brown stuff to get the scuffs out. Take your pick of a good paste wax to complete the process.

I just use a decal eraser that goes on the end of a drill. You can buy them any auto body paint supply store and are made by 3M. It is like a large rubber eraser and the white stuff from the boat dock bumpers just peels right off. I then use McGuiar's Flagship Premium cleaner/marine wax.
