We didnt have big venues like they do now, we bough bottle rockets, firecrackers, jumping jacks, roman candles, sparklers, some other odds and ends. Nothing big though, the city would out on a big show that was good enough for us. Played a lot of stupid games like lightning the bottle rockets off and point them at other kids. See how long you could hold a firecracker in your hand before it would go off. No such thing as a pod challenge for us. I even remember when i was a kid this other kid had some old m80s that his dad had saved before they were outlawed by the atf. But nothing compared to making your own pipebombs though, oh those were the days when adult supervision was only a recommendation. Its nice to live out in the country</p></blockquote><p></p>
