It has a fence around it. The herd has had CWD since 2002 and is still expanding. They used to chase some out into Custer State Park. Not this time. They are going to shoot (sharp shooters) excess animals, so they don't increase above the carrying capacity of feed available inside the fenced in Park.This herd has been heavily studied. The primary investigator is Dr. Glenn Sargent from the Northern Prairie Wildlife Research Center in Jamestown ND. US Geological Survey.What is interesting is David Allen Brandt also a federal biologist worked with Glenn Sargent at NPWRC. Mr. Brandt currently serves as a director with ND wildlife federation and as a director of Brock's Backcountry Hunters and Anglers.It's a boar's nest.</blockquote>
