Think about it folks.......I LIVE IN THE COUNTRY and these kind hearted people who think they are doing a good thing have NOW made my life much more difficult by dumping a crap ton of cats and other animals on me and then get mad when I take exception to them.
Not bagging on you BigV in any way shape or form. I mean that sincerely and I have no problem with you personally. I just wanted to illustrate what most folks do when they live trap cats, or any other animal in an urban setting for that matter, and why I have a deep antagonistic view of feral cats. Think about it folks.......I LIVE IN THE COUNTRY and these kind hearted people who think they are doing a good thing have NOW made my life much more difficult by dumping a crap ton of cats and other animals on me and then get mad when I take exception to them. These folks do the same thing with stray dogs, raccoons, skunks, and any number of other VERMIN!!! They catch them, take them to the country and release them. WHAT THE HELL MAKES YOU THINK I WANT THESE ANIMALS AROUND MY HOME ANY MORE THAN YOU WANT THEM AROUND YOURS???? I have chickens which free range around my property and I don't have any cats of my own. It is a constant battle to keep these former house cats and other predators from seeing my livestock as an easy meal. The animals breed like all get out and I don't feel it is MY RESPONSIBILITY to care for these cats/dogs and other predators. For those reading this, PLEASE consider your actions BEFORE releasing any animals and STOP making "The Country" your dumping ground for unwanted animals because you don't want to see them killed by the local animal shelter or animal control officer. If you just can't bear the thought of doing what you should do, then please take a moment before judging me on what I think I should do. Thank You!!! Again BigV, not bagging on you at all.
