Dont fertilize, especially with UREA, except right before you water your lawn or when it rains. It sublimates quite quickly and you literally can lose it all with no benefit to your lawn. Temperature also plays a role, so if its cold out, that will slow down your fertilizer loss quite a bit.The grass I planted before the 90 plus temps and 50 mph winds is looking good. Fall fertilizer is the best but it really doesn’t help much if it doesn’t rain. I don’t water my rural grass.
