Lonnie Laffen is the Senate sponsor.</span></span></span></p><p><span style="color: #111111"><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica'"><span style="font-family: inherit">The matter would go before voters at the 2018 primary election.</span></span></span></p><p><span style="color: #111111"><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica'"><span style="font-family: inherit">Casinos authorized under the bill must be established as destination-oriented attractions and “selected for the scenic, historic, recreational and tourism advantages of the site and the site’s potential to contribute to the rural economic development of the state.”</span></span></span></p><p><span style="color: #111111"><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica'"><span style="font-family: inherit">State law currently prohibits casinos.
